Announces New Sample Interface for Anavo™, The Industry’s
Fastest Handheld NIR Analyzer at Pittcon 2008 (Booth 5509)
Anavo (TM) Analyzer boasts fastest measurement time in the industry
in a rugged, handheld configuration
Billerica, MA – (March 3, 2008) - Axsun Technologies, Inc.,
a leading manufacturer of micro-optoelectronic spectrometers, announced
the availability of a new sample interface for the Anavo (TM) Analyzer,
the fastest handheld NIR spectrometer on the market. This rugged
analyzer, based on Axsun’s advanced MEMS-based spectrometer
is targeted at material identification applications ranging from
plastics compounding and recycling, to incoming raw materials inspection
to field measurements in the food and agriculture industry. The new
flexible sampling interface will enable the Anavo to measure materials
in a wider range of form factors and will allow non-contact measurements,
providing more flexibility to the user.
The heart of the Anavo (TM) Analyzer is Axsun’s unique micro-optical
platform, combining tunable laser technology, as well as wavelength
and power calibration all in a compact rugged package. The on-board
material libraries and analysis software combined with Axsun’s
fast-scanning tunable laser technology provide instantaneous material
identification in even the harshest industrial environments. The
Anavo (TM) Analyzer’s intuitive user interface and easy-to-read
LCD screen allow for simple operation by either technical or non-technical
users.
“
Our customers require a lot of adaptability in their instrument to
address different applications,” explained Dale Flanders, CEO
of Axsun. “They also need fast reliable answers, and an instrument
that can stand up to the rigors of harsh industrial environments.
The Anavo is a highly flexible product that can be programmed to
address different applications. The new sampling interface is another
example of how we listen to and address our customers’ evolving
needs.”
Axsun will be demonstrating Anavo (TM) Analyzers at the 59th Pittsburgh
Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy at
the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, March 3,
2008,
at Booth 5509. Axsun is currently shipping the Anavo in volume
to applications in plastics, polymer and textile identification,
and
expects that the speed, performance and rugged design of the Anavo
(TM) Analyzer, coupled with the flexibility of its programmable
library, will enable many exciting new applications.
